We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our Ecommerce Shared Services Team. As a key member of our team your main goal will be to design, build, and enhance applications that enable seamless access to our educational products online. In this role, you will be focusing on creating solutions for our Cambridge platforms, with particular focus on being able to continuously deliver secure, scalable, reusable, and lovable solutions while sharing all that expertise to every colleague. You will be also able to explore different technologies and will be connected to different amazing people inside the organization, people who have the same goals. Goals that are aligned to our organisation's values.   Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Contributes to front-end and back-end development, enhancing user interactions, responsiveness, and reliability, delivering features from concept to implementation.
  • Assists in solution design and development of software specifications.
  • Responsible for coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining software, supporting QA, service desk, and infrastructure teams for smooth deployment and operation.
  • Collaborates with senior developers and solutions architect to implement efficient, scalable solutions and refine existing APIs.
  • Prepares and updates technical documentation, including project briefs and user guides, ensuring clarity and maintainability.
  • Stays updated on technology trends to support continuous learning and improvement in web, mobile, and API development practices.
  • Qualification

    What makes you the ideal candidate in this role? The Full Stack Developer should have strong skills in solution design, development, analysis, and documentation, focusing on delivering high-quality software solutions aligned with the Delivery Team's goals. Hands-on experience in web infrastructure, modern DevOps practices, and related software development technologies is essential, as is experience in contributing to building new features and improving existing platforms, ensuring timely delivery of solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams. The following will help you be an ideal candidate for this role:
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience in full stack development using Java and Node with a proven track record in software project delivery is required.
  • Experience designing scalable, maintainable applications that meet business needs.
  • Proficient with RESTful APIs, including versioning and documentation for smooth integration is required.
  • Skilled in testing methodologies and tools, including writing and conducting unit tests is a good-to-have.
  • Familiar with agile environments, participating in Scrum ceremonies, and supporting iterative development is a good-to-have.
