About Asia Pacific College of Advanced Studies

 School Year 1990-2000 marked the beginning of Asia Pacific Academy’s operation in a rented four-storey building in San Jose, Balanga City offering First to Third year levels of High School with 231 students.

It was May 1, 2001 when Asia Pacific Academy of Bataan moved to a new home-brand new home - the four-storey and two-storey buildings in A. H. Banzon St., Ibayo, City of Balanga, Bataan, and was inaugurated on August 3, 2001 with the Municipal mayor Albert S. Garcia.

School Year 2001-2002 marked a big page in the history of the school. It was in this school year when the Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (BSHRM) programs two year certificate in Hotel and Restaurant Management, complete Elementary and Pre-Elementary Education were offered simultaneously with Secondary Education, making the name of Asia Pacific Academy no longer applicable, thus the name – Asia Pacific College of Advanced Studies.

On September 16, 2002, a two-storey college building right behind the high school building was inaugurated.

Four-year Bachelor of Arts in Communication (AB COMM) and four-year Bachelor of Arts in Tourism (BST) programs were offered starting SY 2002-2003.

It was on the fifth year of operations when APCAS started offering four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program in SY 2003-2004 with 289 enrollees for the first semester, making APCAS the very first private institution inBataan to offer BSN.

It was in March 2005 when the very first batch of Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management graduated, 90 percent of whom were employed barely 6 months after. School Year 2004-2005 also marked the start of International On-the-Job Training program to

 

Realizing the need for competent and dedicated in secondary school teachers, another course was offered beginning SY 2005-2006, the Bachelor of Secondary Education program. Guided with the aim of producing quality teachers, the program was new classrooms and a 2,102 square meters parcel of land for additional college building in the near future was purchased.

In S.Y. 2008-2009, six new courses were offered: Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship, 2-year Computer Programming and Certificate in Teaching.

At present, APCAS also offers Bachelor of Science in Criminology, Bachelor of Science Bachelor of Science in Custom Administration, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
