The PHINMA Group’s entry into the education sector began when it acquired Araullo University in Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija in 2004. This formed PHINMA Education Network (PEN).

The acquisition of Araullo University was followed by that of Cagayan de Oro College in 2005; University of Pangasinan and University of Iloilo in 2009. This makes PEN a network that stretches to the various parts of the Philippines.

In each of its schools, PEN makes changes when they are most needed. Each institution undergoes faculty improvement and course development. PEN provides scholarships for its employees for master’s and doctoral degrees, and improves salary and benefit schemes. Systems and curricula are drafted and refined in consideration of the students’ capacity to improve their academic performance. In addition, the buildings and facilities on campus are renovated to have up-to-date laboratories, classrooms, and IT infrastructure.

Following PHINMA’s tagline and belief that “Life can be better,” PEN aims to provide quality education at an affordable tuition to those who have limited access to it so that they can achieve their goals.
