Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer
Job Description
As a Senior Ruby Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of our software platform. Leveraging your deep expertise in Ruby and related technologies, you will be responsible for guiding the development team through the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of robust, production-ready software solutions. Your role will encompass a broad range of activities, from assigning tasks/pointing and mentoring team members to optimizing our existing codebase and implementing new features.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Task Management and Leadership: Allocate tasks including pointing the task to team members based on their individual strengths, ensuring efficient and timely completion of task / feature milestones. Act as a mentor to junior developers, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth and development.
Software Development: Function as the lead developer responsible for the development and deployment of tasks / features we need in the platform. Architect and develop new features needed, make recommendations on the best approach and be willing to push back on ideas that will lead to future pain for the business. Providing code reviews to our other developers. Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues in deployment if required.
Dev Ops / Solution Architecture - Design and implement solutions that are scalable, secure, and aligned with our long-term objectives, ensuring the platform can adapt to future challenges and opportunities.
